Chowder Bay
It will be business as usual for visitors to the Harbour Trust’s much loved Headland Park from Friday 28 January 2022, with the standing down of the temporary COVID-19 Testing Clinic at Georges Heights, after five weeks in operation.
The temporary clinic was opened on 27 December 2021, following a request from Mosman Council. It was operated by Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, who worked hard to minimise any disruption due to the increased traffic. The operation of the temporary testing clinic provided important extra capacity, at a time of peak demand.
We would like to thank the residents, tenants and visitors for their generous approach to the inconvenience some experienced, particularly Mosman Council, who suspended their programs and provided access to the Oval.

Temporary COVID-19 Testing Clinic to Open at Georges Heights Oval, Mosman
Due to the current demand for COVID-19 testing clinics in Sydney, the Harbour Trust will host a temporary drive-through testing clinic until 28 January 2022 at the Georges Heights site, next to the Oval.
The temporary testing site has been agreed following a request from Mosman Council and after detailed discussions between the Harbour Trust, Council and Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, the clinic operators.
The agreed-on location, operating hours and traffic management will seek to minimise impacts on the many restaurants, businesses, and residents at Middle Head and Chowder Bay. The Harbour Trust is committed to providing access for the many visitors wanting to visit Headland Park over the next month.
The COVID-19 testing clinic will open on Monday, 27 December and operate from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm most days until 28 January 2022. The exception will be that the clinic will be closed on 12 & 19 January when the popular Georges Heights Farmers Market will be held. During this time, Mosman Council, which manage Georges Heights Oval, will relocate planned summer activities elsewhere.
