New sensory school holiday tour at Cockatoo Island

Join us on Wednesday 12 April for our 'Convict Sounds' school holiday experience. For one day only, you will explore convict-era buildings while our knowledgeable guide shares historical anecdotes and prompts you to recreate sounds from the island’s former penal establishment. Tickets start from just $16 per person.

Hosted by Google Arts & Culture, the immersive, two-part experience – titled ‘Hollo’s Harbour Reflections’ – features our network of beloved destinations on Sydney Harbour in vibrant oil pastel.

On Tuesday (15 Nov), the Harbour Trust – in partnership with the Headland Preservation Group and Mosman RSL sub-Branch – held an intimate tree planting ceremony at Georges Heights, Mosman to honour the casualties of the Gallipoli campaign.

Turning the lights off – Cockatoo Island's Abandoned Powerhouse Tour

On Saturday 5 November, Cockatoo Island’s Powerhouse will open its doors to the public as part of Sydney Open – an annual event celebrating the city’s important and architecturally inspiring landmarks. Across five timeslots, Harbour Trust guides will lead tourgoers through the layered history of Cockatoo Island’s mysterious Powerhouse, normally off limits to the public.
