Accessibility

As an agency of the Australian Government, the Harbour Trust has an obligation under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 to ensure online information and services are accessible by people with disabilities. 

WCAG 2.0 compliance

Our two affiliated websites – harbourtrust.gov.au and cockatooisland.gov.au – are compliant with Level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 2.0 (WCAG 2.0). WCAG 2.0 is a technical standard developed under the Web Accessibility Initiative of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Screen resolution

Our two websites have been developed to display adequately on all commonly used browsers and to work effectively with accessibility hardware and/or software. Although they are designed for a 1024 x 768 screen resolution, harbourtrust.gov.au and cockatooisland.gov.au will scale to both higher and lower screen resolutions.

Web documents

For technical reasons and to meet some legal requirements, a limited number of documents listed on harbourtrust.gov.au and cockatooisland.gov.au cannot be provided in HTML format. For the supply of these documents in a non-web format, contact us by email or post (see below).
